Advanced Search Filters

The Advanced Search Filter functionality can be a powerful feature in the app if fully utilized.  Once a company's webmanager completes the filters using the product templates columns called udf16-udf20 and then imports it to the account they simply need to name those filers and push them to the app.

Once imported the filters need to be named, naming the advance search filters is done in Settings/App Settings/Text Input  The naming starts with udf16 then a comma without space and then udf17 and so on.  **Screenshot below shown from settings in the webmanager portal where the filters will be named to be shown on the App.  

To see the filters within the advanced search options on the App, this feature can be found by tapping the binoculars to find the GOTO Advanced Search link here.  Tapping on the green link will open a new page with search features including two filters that are static:

  • Categories
  • Price 

Up to 5 custom filters using the Product Template can be used to populate the advanced search filters are udf16-udf20.
Examples of possible filters:

  • Color
  • Material
  • Fabric
  • Size
  • Shape

Once the filters have been determined, then the data needs to be populated in the proper udf. Using the example filters the structure would be:

  • udf16 would have the color data for all ItemID's
  • udf17 would have the material data for all ItemID's
  • udf18 would have the fabric data for all ItemID's
  • udf19 would have the sizing data for all ItemID's
  • udf20 would have the shape data for all ItemID's

If an ItemID does not have data in a UDF, it will be left out of the search only when the filter without a value is selected. This means that your items do not have to have information in all 5 filters. 

Once the data is populated, simply upload the file in the Webmanager using the "products" menu. 

You will have to add the Titles in the Webmanager. 

  1. Log in to your account in RepZio’s Webmanager
  2. In the blue toolbar that runs along the left side of the page, click the “Settings” icon
  3. From the expanded list of options under “Settings,” choose “App Settings”
  4. Choose the Text Inputs tab from the Basic Settings page
  5. Here you will find the UDF Labels text field among others 
  6. Type your headers separated by a comma no space i.e. Color,Material,Fabric,Size,Shape (These are the name labels for the drop downs on the advanced search in the app)
  7. Save Changes
  8. Choose "Push Data Live" to send the updates to the app



Additional Notes:

  • Remember that the sales rep will need to log out to the Login screen then log back in when changes take place in the basic settings
  • You can upload a product template that only has the fields of ItemID, udf16, udf17,udf18,udf19,udf20 and IsDeleted
  • Once the filtered results are shown, there are many things you can do: you can Tag all of the returned values, you can bookmark select items, or you can select a single item, viewing it in the product detail screen and/or you can add them to an order.
